I passed the VCP410 exam this morning with a score of 400. I know, not as good as some other scores but hey: I PASSED!
I was very disappointed with the exam in that I hate the stupid multiple choice questions. I wish that VMware would move to a more realistic testing environment in which you would actually go into a simulated vSphere Client and perform the required steps, do CLI, etc.
Before staking this test I actually implemented vSphere into a production environment and setup an EqualLogic iSCSI SAN and configured it to work with vSphere including setting up jumbo frames, round-robin multipathing, etc. I just feel that this sort of multiple choice test just creates a bunch of paper certifications for people with no real world experience. I think that the only thing that keeps VMware certifications a little harder to obtain than Microsoft certs is the fact that you have to attend a $3000 training class before you're "allowed" to take the exam.
For anyone else who has taken the exam what are your thoughts?
